SENTRON 3VA2110-5JP32-0KL0 — 100 A MCCB with ETU550 trip unit
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2110-5JP32-0KL0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 100 A continuous current, configured for line protection. It carries a breaking capacity of 187 kA at 240 V AC, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 79 kA at 500 V, and 4.25 kA at 690 V — so the interrupting rating drops sharply above 500 V, which matters for 690 V distribution panels where the available fault current must be verified against that 4.25 kA ceiling.
Thermal derating and panel integration
The breaker holds its full 100 A rating up to 50 °C ambient. Above that, it derates linearly: 96.25 A at 55 °C, 92.5 A at 60 °C, 88.75 A at 65 °C, and 85 A at 70 °C. In a sealed enclosure with multiple devices, that 70 °C ceiling means the effective ampacity drops 15 % — plan your load schedule accordingly. Dimensions are 181 mm high, 105 mm wide, 86 mm deep, which fits standard SENTRON 3VA panel cutouts; the 105 mm width is the same as the 3VA1 frame, so a panel laid out for a 3VA1010 will accept this 3VA2110 without re-drilling the mounting plate.
Trip unit and auxiliary configuration
This variant ships with the ETU550 electronic overcurrent release, a shunt trip (STL) auxiliary release, and a full complement of auxiliary contacts: 2 auxiliary switches + 1 trip alarm switch + 1 electrical alarm switch HQ. It also includes a voltage trigger and a trip indicator. The supplied basic switch is order code 3VA2110-5JP32-0AA0, and the integrated auxiliary trip is 3VA9688-0BL33. Communication function is present, so it can integrate with higher-level monitoring systems.
