The 3VA2110-5JP36-0AA0: This MCCB delivers 187 kA interrupting capacity at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 3.7 kA at 690 V. That 187 kA at 240 V means it can handle high-fault scenarios common on the secondary side of large distribution transformers — useful for a main or tie breaker in a switchboard where the available fault current is high. The 3.7 kA at 690 V covers most industrial motor-drive lineups.
Trip unit and protection profile
The ETU550 is an electronic trip unit with communication capability, so it can report status and trip events back to a PLC or BMS over the integrated communication function. No undervoltage release or ground-fault monitoring built in — those are external accessories if needed. The breaker is designed for line protection (cable/feeder), not motor protection, so the trip curves are set for overcurrent and short-circuit on distribution circuits.
Thermal derating and panel fit
Rated 100 A continuous from 40 °C through 70 °C ambient — no derating needed across that range, which simplifies panel design in warm enclosures. Dimensions are 105 mm wide, 181 mm tall, 86 mm deep, fitting standard MCCB mounting footprints. IP40 on the front face keeps dust out of the trip-unit compartment in a clean indoor panel.
