What this breaker is and where it fits
The Siemens 3VA2110-5JQ32-0AC0 is a 3-pole SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 100 A continuous current, fitted with an ETU560 electronic trip unit for line protection. It carries a 187 kA interrupting rating at 240 V, dropping to 121 kA at 415/440 V, 79 kA at 500 V, and 4.25 kA at 690 V — so the available fault current at the panelboard determines which voltage column you read. This is a current-production part, actively manufactured.
Thermal derating and real-world current
The 100 A rating holds up to 50 °C ambient. Above that it steps down: 96.25 A at 55 °C, 92.5 A at 60 °C, 88.75 A at 65 °C, and 85 A at 70 °C. If your panel interior runs hot — say a packed enclosure with drives — the 70 °C figure is the one to size against. Maximum power loss is 10 W.
Trip unit and monitoring
The ETU560 is an electronic overcurrent release with communication capability. Ground-fault monitoring uses summation-current formation on the L-conductor. The breaker ships with two HQ auxiliary switches; no undervoltage release or voltage trigger is fitted. The front face carries IP40 protection — fine for a closed panel, not for washdown exposure.
Physical fit and panel integration
Dimensions are 105 mm wide, 181 mm high, 86 mm deep. That 105 mm width is the standard 3-pole MCCB footprint for this class — it occupies three 35 mm DIN spaces if base-mounted, though the SENTRON 3VA series typically bolts to a mounting plate rather than snapping onto DIN rail. Verify the bus-bar drilling pattern against your existing panel layout; the depth leaves clearance for rear-connected lugs.
