What this MCCB delivers
The Siemens 3VA2110-5JQ32-0CA0 is a 3-pole SENTRON molded case circuit breaker rated for line protection, carrying a continuous current of 100 A up to 50 °C and derating to 85 A at 70 °C. Its ETU560 electronic trip unit provides adjustable overload and short-circuit protection with communication capability. The interrupting ratings are 187 kA at 240 V AC, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 79 kA at 500 V, and 4.25 kA at 690 V — numbers that define the SCCR headroom for the panel's fault-current withstand. The 100 A continuous rating holds flat across 40 °C, 45 °C, and 50 °C ambient — no derating needed in a standard 40 °C panel environment. At 55 °C it drops to 96.25 A, and at 70 °C to 85 A. That matters when the breaker lives in a crowded enclosure with other heat sources; you size the load to the derated figure, not the nameplate. This version includes an undervoltage release (UVR) and a ground-fault monitoring function using summation current formation on the L-conductor. The integrated auxiliary trip is order code 3VA9608-0BB24. There is no trip indicator and no auxiliary contact block fitted from the factory.
Physical fit and panel integration
Dimensions are 181 mm height, 105 mm width, 86 mm depth. That 86 mm depth is the dimension that matters for gland-plate clearance or shallow backpanel enclosures — standard SENTRON 3VA2 frame. The breaker mounts on a DIN rail or directly to a mounting plate via screw terminals; no special adapter needed.
Selectivity and coordination note
The ETU560 release supports adjustable I²t and I²t-off curves, which gives the panel designer room to achieve selective coordination with downstream breakers. The 800 V rated insulation voltage (Ui) keeps the breaker suitable for 690 V line-to-line systems with margin.
