What it is and what the ratings mean
The SENTRON 3VA2110-5JQ46-0AA0 is a 4-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated 100 A continuous at up to 70 °C — no derating needed across that span, so it holds its full current in a warm enclosure. Breaking capacity hits 187 kA at 240 V and 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, dropping to 75.6 kA at 500 V and 3.7 kA at 690 V — that 187 kA figure tells you it's built for high-fault utility or transformer-secondary feeds where the available short-circuit current is extreme. The ETU560 electronic trip unit gives adjustable overload and short-circuit protection, plus ground-fault monitoring via summation of L+N conductor currents — a feature that saves an external GF relay on solidly-grounded systems. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V, and the front panel carries IP40 protection — fine for a dry indoor panel, but keep it out of washdown zones. Communication function is built in, and a motor drive is available as an optional extension for remote charging.
Panel fit
Dimensions: 86 mm deep, 140 mm wide, 181 mm high — standard SENTRON 3VA form factor for a 4-pole frame. Mounts on a DIN rail or panel-mount base plate; the 140 mm width matches the cutout for a 4-pole MCCB in most IEC enclosures. Maximum power loss is 10 W — negligible heat contribution to the enclosure budget.
