What this MCCB delivers and where it fits
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2110-5KP32-0JL0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for line protection at 100 A continuous current, fitted with an ETU850 electronic trip unit. At 240 V it interrupts 187 kA; at 415 V and 440 V it handles 121 kA, dropping to 79 kA at 500 V and 4.25 kA at 690 V. The insulation voltage is rated 800 V, so it suits 400 V and 480 V distribution panels with headroom. The 100 A rating holds up to 50 °C ambient; above that it derates to 96.25 A at 55 °C, 92.5 A at 60 °C, 88.75 A at 65 °C, and 85 A at 70 °C. That derating curve matters when the breaker sits in a warm enclosure — you size the load to the derated figure, not the 100 A nameplate.
Built-in auxiliaries and trip options
This breaker ships with a shunt trip (STL) release for remote tripping, plus an auxiliary contact block: 2 auxiliary switches, 1 trip alarm switch, and 1 electrical alarm switch (HQ). A voltage trigger is present. There is no undervoltage release and no phase-failure detection. The basic switch is order code 3VA2110-5KP32-0AA0; the integrated auxiliary trip is 3VA9688-0BL32. Communication and other measurement functions are included. The ETU850 release gives adjustable long-time, short-time, instantaneous, and ground-fault protection curves.
Physical fit and panel integration
Dimensions are 105 mm wide, 181 mm high, and 86 mm deep. It mounts on a DIN rail or can be screw-fixed to a backplate. The 105 mm width is a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint.
Environmental limits and power loss
Operating temperature range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C. Maximum power loss is 10 W. The trip indicator is present. Mechanical endurance is 20,000 operations.
