Siemens 3VA2110-5KP32-0KA0 — 100 A SENTRON MCCB, Line Protection, Shunt Trip
The Siemens 3VA2110-5KP32-0KA0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 100 A continuous current with a 3-pole configuration, designed for line protection in distribution panels and industrial switchgear. Its key feature is zero thermal derating across the full 40 °C to 70 °C operating range — the breaker holds 100 A at every point from 40 °C up to 70 °C, so you don't have to down-rate for a hot panel environment. Breaking capacity is substantial: 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 3.7 kA at 690 V. That covers most low-voltage fault scenarios in North American and IEC markets without needing a current-limiting upstream device. It includes a shunt trip (STL) auxiliary release and a communication function for remote tripping or status monitoring — useful for emergency-stop circuits or building management integration. The trip unit is adjustable between 150 A and 1 200 A, though the continuous rating is fixed at 100 A.
Panel Fit — DIN-Rail Dimensions and Mounting
The breaker measures 105 mm wide by 181 mm tall by 86 mm deep, fitting standard MCCB panel cutouts. Three-pole footprint matches the SENTRON 3VA series; it snap-mounts onto DIN rail or bolts to a mounting plate. The 86 mm depth leaves clearance for rear-connected busbars or cable ducts in a 200 mm deep enclosure. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V, so it's suitable for 480/277 V and 600 V panels with margin. The shunt trip (STL) release occupies the auxiliary slot; verify polarity on the coil before energizing — wrong polarity on a DC shunt trip can weld the plunger.
