Breaking Capacity Across Voltages — What the Numbers Mean
Breaking capacity drops as voltage rises: 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at both 415 V and 440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 3.7 kA at 690 V. For a 400 V distribution board, the 121 kA figure is well above typical utility fault levels (often 25–50 kA), so this breaker gives generous margin. At 690 V, the 3.7 kA limit means it's not suitable for high-fault industrial 690 V mains; you'd need a larger frame or a current-limiting design.
Thermal Performance — Flat Derating to 70 °C
That's unusual for an MCCB; many competitors start derating above 40 °C. The flat thermal curve simplifies panel design: you don't have to oversize the breaker for a warm enclosure or derate for a hot machine room.
