The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2110-5MN32-0AB0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for motor protection duty at 100 A continuous current. It carries the ETU350M electronic trip unit, which provides adjustable overload and short-circuit protection curves suited for motor starting inrush without nuisance tripping. Interrupting capacity is the headline spec here: 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 17 kA at 690 V. That SCCR ladder means this breaker can sit upstream of a motor starter in a high-fault panel and still coordinate selectively with downstream devices — the 187 kA at 240 V covers most North American industrial service-entrance applications without needing a current-limiting fuse ahead of it. Thermal derating is published per degree: full 100 A up to 50 °C, then 96 A at 55 °C, 94 A at 60 °C, 92 A at 65 °C, and 90 A at 70 °C. If the panel ambient runs above 50 °C, the continuous current must be backed off accordingly — the 90 A floor at 70 °C still covers most motor FLA ratings in a warm enclosure.
Panel Fit & Integration
Dimensions are 105 mm wide, 181 mm tall, and 86 mm deep. The 105 mm width is the standard 3-pole MCCB footprint for this SENTRON frame size — it fits the same panel cutout and bus-bar spacing as other 3VA2-frame breakers. The 86 mm depth leaves clearance for rear-connected bus bars or a cable-entry gland plate behind the DIN-rail mount. The breaker ships with 2 auxiliary switches (HP type) pre-installed. Phase failure detection is built into the ETU350M release — no separate voltage monitor needed for motor protection against single-phasing. No undervoltage release or shunt trip is fitted on this variant; those are available as field-installable accessories if the application requires remote trip capability.
