Breaking capacity and thermal derating
The 3VA2110-5MN32-0JA0: Breaking capacity is 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V, 121 kA at 440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 17 kA at 690 V — these are the fault-clearing limits at each voltage level. For a 400 V line, the 121 kA rating covers most industrial fault-current scenarios. The breaker is rated 100 A from 40 °C through 50 °C, then derates to 96 A at 55 °C, 94 A at 60 °C, 92 A at 65 °C, and 90 A at 70 °C. If your panel ambient runs above 50 °C, factor that 4-10 A drop into the load calculation.
Dimensions and panel fit
Physical footprint: 105 mm wide, 181 mm high, 86 mm deep. The 105 mm width is standard for a 3-pole MCCB in this class — it fits the usual panel cutout without surprises. No auxiliary contacts or ground-fault module are fitted as standard, so if you need those, plan for the add-on auxiliary trip (order code 3VA9688-0BL32) or an external relay.
