The Siemens 3VA2110-5MN36-0AE0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) designed specifically for motor protection, with a continuous current rating of 100 A that holds flat from 40 °C through 70 °C — no derating needed across that entire ambient range. Breaking capacity hits 121 kA at 415 V and 187 kA at 240 V, giving selectivity headroom for high-fault panels. At 690 V it still clears 3.7 kA, so it handles motor circuits on 400 V class systems without issue. Phase failure detection is built in — the breaker trips on loss of a phase, protecting the motor from single-phasing. Four HQ auxiliary switches ride onboard for status feedback to the PLC or safety relay.
Panel fit
Dimensions are 105 mm wide by 181 mm tall by 86 mm deep — fits standard MCCB panel cutouts. The 86 mm depth leaves room behind the gland plate for wiring without cramming. Three-pole design with no undervoltage release and no ground-fault monitoring on this variant. If you need those, the 3VA2 family has modular accessory slots; this unit ships with the 4 HQ aux switches pre-installed.
