Motor protection breaker with integrated UVR
The Siemens 3VA2110-5MN36-0BL0 is a 3-pole IEC frame 160 motor protection circuit breaker rated at 100 A continuous current, with a 55 kA breaking capacity at 415 V AC (class M). It carries an ETU350M electronic trip unit configured for LSI protection — overload (Ir adjustable 40–100 A), short-time delay (Isd 3–15×Ir), and instantaneous (Ii fixed at 15×In). The built-in undervoltage release (UVR) operates on 24 V DC, and the breaker ships with two auxiliary switches (HQ), one trip alarm switch (HQ), and one electrical alarm switch.
What the ratings mean for fit
The 55 kA Icu at 415 V AC means this breaker can safely interrupt fault currents up to that level on a 400 V industrial supply without upstream cascading — suitable for high-fault-capacity panelboards and motor control centers. The ETU350M LSI trip unit gives adjustable short-time delay (Isd), allowing selective coordination with downstream feeders. The 24 V DC undervoltage release drops the breaker when control voltage is lost, a common requirement for emergency-stop circuits and safety-related motor disconnects. Clamp connections accept copper or aluminum conductors up to the frame rating, simplifying panel wiring.
