MCCB with 100 A frame and electronic trip — what the ratings mean for your panel
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2110-5MN36-0HA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 100 A continuous current at 40 °C, with an ETU350M electronic overcurrent release and an integrated shunt trip (STL) release for remote tripping. Rated 100 A at 40 °C through 50 °C, it derates to 90 A at 70 °C — so in a warm enclosure you lose 10 A of headroom; plan your load margin accordingly. Breaking capacity hits 187 kA at 240 V and 121 kA at 415 V, dropping to 17 kA at 690 V — this covers high-fault utility feeds at low voltage but needs coordination study at 690 V. The ETU350M trip unit supports phase failure detection and a voltage trigger, making it suited for motor protection duty where loss-of-phase must trip the breaker.
Panel fit and dimensions
The breaker measures 105 mm wide, 181 mm high, and 86 mm deep — standard SENTRON 3VA frame size that clips onto a DIN rail or mounts with screws in a distribution panel.
