MCCB with ETU350M — 100 A, 3-pole, high-interrupting
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2110-5MN36-0KH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 100 A continuous current (Iu) and equipped with an ETU350M electronic trip unit. Its interrupting capacity scales with system voltage: 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 17 kA at 690 V — these figures govern where it can be applied for fault clearance without upstream coordination failure.
Current derating and thermal management
Rated 100 A from 40 °C through 50 °C ambient, then derates linearly: 96 A at 55 °C, 94 A at 60 °C, 92 A at 65 °C, 90 A at 70 °C. Maximum power loss is 75 W. In a sealed enclosure or high-ambient panel, that derating curve is the binding constraint — not the nameplate 100 A.
Trip unit and auxiliary configuration
ETU350M overcurrent release provides phase-failure detection and a voltage-trigger input. The breaker ships with a shunt trip (STL) auxiliary release (design code 3VA9688-0BL33) and 2 auxiliary switches plus 1 trip alarm switch (HQ configuration). No undervoltage release, no ground-fault monitoring, no communication module — this is a standalone motor-protection or feeder breaker, not a networked power monitor.
Dimensions and panel fit
Footprint: 105 mm wide × 181 mm high × 86 mm deep. The 105 mm width is standard for a 3-pole MCCB in this frame size — drops into existing SENTRON mounting bases without panel rework.
