The Siemens 3VA2110-5MQ36-0AA0 is a 3-pole SENTRON molded case circuit breaker rated for 100 A continuous current with a flat derating curve from 40 °C through 70 °C — meaning you don't lose headroom in a warm panel. That 100 A holds at every temperature step in that range, which is unusual for an MCCB and simplifies panel calc for a motor protection circuit. Interrupting capacity hits 187 kA at 240 V and 121 kA at 415 V — that's serious fault-current muscle for a 100 A frame. At 500 V it still clears 75.6 kA, and at 690 V it drops to 3.7 kA, so watch the voltage class on your distribution side. The SCCR here is the number that governs selectivity coordination downstream. This is explicitly a motor protection design, with phase failure detection built in and a communication function on board — so it talks to a PLC or BMS without a separate add-on module. The ground-fault monitoring uses summation current formation on the L conductor, which is the standard approach for solidly-grounded systems.
