Trip unit and thermal derating
The ETU320 is an electronic trip unit — it gives you adjustable long-time, short-time, and instantaneous pickup, plus ground-fault capability if the breaker is ordered with that option (this variant is without ground-fault monitoring). The 100 A rating holds flat from 40 °C to 50 °C, then derates linearly to 85 A at 70 °C. In a hot panel near the top of a switchboard, that derating curve is what you size the load to, not the 100 A nameplate.
