Rated continuous current and interrupting capacity
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2110-6HL32-0KA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for a continuous current Iu of 100 A, with a rated insulation voltage Ui of 800 V. Its interrupting capacity reaches 242 kA at 240 V, 187 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 121 kA at 500 V, and 5 kA at 690 V — per the datasheet, these are the maximum short-circuit currents the breaker can safely interrupt at each voltage level, which is the figure that governs selectivity coordination in a distribution panel.
Thermal derating and operating range
The breaker holds its full 100 A rating from 40 °C up to 50 °C. Above that, the continuous current derates linearly: 96.25 A at 55 °C, 92.5 A at 60 °C, 88.75 A at 65 °C, and 85 A at 70 °C. The operating ambient range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C. Maximum power loss is 10 W.
Trip unit and auxiliary releases
This variant is fitted with an ETU320 electronic overcurrent release and a shunt trip (STL) for remote tripping. It includes a voltage trigger function but no undervoltage release, no auxiliary contact, no ground fault monitoring, no phase failure detection, and no communication function. The integrated auxiliary trip is order code 3VA9688-0BL33; the basic switch is 3VA2110-6HL32-0AA0.
Dimensions and panel integration
Dimensions: width 105 mm, height 181 mm, depth 86 mm. These are the envelope dimensions for panel cutout and busbar spacing — the 105 mm width is the standard 3-pole MCCB footprint for this SENTRON frame, so it fits existing 3VA1/3VA2 panel layouts without rewiring.
