What this 100 A MCCB delivers
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2110-6HL42-0JB0 is a 4-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 100 A continuous current across the full ambient range from 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to that ceiling. That 100 A holds at every temperature step in between, which simplifies panel design when the breaker sits near warm busbars or drives. Breaking capacity reaches 242 kA at 240 V, dropping to 187 kA at 415 V and 440 V, then 121 kA at 500 V, and 3.7 kA at 690 V. At typical 400 V distribution, that 187 kA handles high-fault industrial feeds without cascading upstream breakers. It is designed for line protection — meaning it protects cables and busbars against overload and short circuit, not motor or generator protection. The minimum trip setting is 1.5 A, so it covers small subfeeds as well as main distribution.
Built-in accessories and panel fit
This MCCB ships with a shunt trip release (STL) for remote tripping and two HP auxiliary switches for status feedback to a PLC or indicator lamp. The basic switch assembly is order code 3VA21106HL420AA0. Dimensions are 86 mm deep, 140 mm wide, 181 mm tall — a 4-pole footprint that fits standard Siemens SENTRON mounting plates and busbar adapters. No undervoltage release is fitted; if you need one, that is a separate accessory. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage from -40 °C to 80 °C. Maximum power loss is 10 W at rated current.
