What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3VA2110-6HM46-0AA0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) in the line protection version, with 4 poles and a rated uninterrupted current Iu of 100 A. It carries an insulation voltage Ui of 800 V and uses an ETU330 electronic overcurrent release. The interrupting capacity hits 242 kA at 240 V, 187 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 121 kA at 500 V, and 3.7 kA at 690 V — that last figure drops sharply because the arc energy at 690 V is harder to extinguish, so this breaker is sized for 400 V-class distribution, not 690 V motor circuits.
Thermal performance and panel fit
The 100 A rating holds flat from 40 °C through 70 °C — no derating curve to worry about in a warm enclosure. Dimensions are 140 mm wide, 181 mm high, 86 mm deep. That 86 mm depth is compact for a 4-pole MCCB at this interrupting level; it leaves clearance behind a standard 200 mm deep gland plate. The front face carries IP40 protection, so it's fine in a clean panel but not washdown-rated.
