SENTRON 3VA2 – 100 A MCCB for Line Protection
The Siemens 3VA2110-6HN32-0JH0 is a SENTRON 3VA2 molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 100 A continuous current at 40 °C, with three poles and a line protection profile. It carries an ETU350 electronic trip unit, a shunt trip release (STL), and a 2+1 auxiliary contact configuration (two auxiliary switches plus one trip alarm switch). Breaking capacity hits 242 kA at 240 V, tapering to 187 kA at 415 V / 440 V, 121 kA at 500 V, and 5 kA at 690 V — so it's sized for high-fault industrial mains, not just branch circuits.
Thermal Performance and Panel Fit
The breaker holds full 100 A rating from 40 °C up through 50 °C, then derates linearly to 85 A at 70 °C — no headroom loss in a warm enclosure unless you're pushing past 50 °C ambient. Dimensions are 181 mm high, 105 mm wide, 86 mm deep, which is the standard 3VA2 three-pole footprint. Maximum power loss is 10 W, so heat buildup inside a tightly packed panel stays manageable.
Trip Unit and Auxiliary Configuration
The ETU350 electronic trip unit handles adjustable overload and short-circuit protection curves. A voltage trigger is present for remote tripping capability, and a mechanical trip indicator gives local fault visibility. The shunt trip release (STL) is built in — no undervoltage release, no ground-fault monitoring, no communication module on this variant. Auxiliary contact block is a 3VA9688-0BL32, wired as two auxiliary switches plus one trip alarm switch (HQ).
