MCCB for high-fault panels — 100 A continuous, 242 kA SCCR at 240 V
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2110-6HN36-0AD0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 100 A continuous current across the full thermal range from 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to that ceiling. Its interrupting capacity hits 242 kA at 240 V and still delivers 187 kA at 415 V, which puts it in the extreme-fault tier for industrial distribution panels where upstream transformer capacity or parallel-fed buswork drives available fault current past 100 kA.
Selectivity and coordination headroom
With a rated insulation voltage of 800 V and interrupting performance that stays above 121 kA through 500 V, this MCCB gives the site electrical engineer room to build selective coordination downstream of a main breaker without forcing an oversized frame. The 3-pole line-protection design (no ground-fault module, no undervoltage release) keeps it a straight feeder or branch breaker — fit it where the fault duty is the constraint, not where auxiliary functions are needed.
Panel fit — 86 mm deep, three auxiliary switches onboard
The 86 mm depth and 105 mm width fit standard MCCB panel cutouts; the 181 mm height clears most enclosure gutters without a sub-panel riser. Factory-fitted with three HQ auxiliary switches, so no separate add-on block to occupy adjacent DIN space or complicate the wiring schedule. Power loss is 10 W maximum — negligible for ventilation planning in a sealed enclosure.
