The SENTRON 3VA2110-6HN36-0CH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 100 A continuous current across the full ambient range of 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to that ceiling. Its interrupting capacity hits 242 kA at 240 V, dropping to 187 kA at 415/440 V, 121 kA at 500 V, and 3.7 kA at 690 V. That SCCR headroom covers most industrial fault scenarios without cascading upstream. Line protection design, so it's the primary overcurrent device on a feeder or branch — not a motor-protector or ground-fault variant. Undervoltage release (UVR) built in, with two auxiliary switches plus a separate trip alarm switch (HQ type). No communication function, no ground-fault monitoring.
Sizing and coordination
At 100 A flat from 40 °C to 70 °C, the thermal-magnetic curve stays predictable — no surprise trip in a warm panel. The 242 kA SCCR at 240 V lets you coordinate downstream breakers without worrying about series rating limits; at 690 V the 3.7 kA figure is still enough for most 690 V distribution. Panel depth needed: 86 mm, width 105 mm, height 181 mm. Mounts on a standard DIN rail or panel-mount via the screw kit.
