Breaking capacity — what those kA numbers mean for your fault level
Rated short-circuit breaking capacity is 330 kA at 240 V, 242 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 187 kA at 500 V, and 3.7 kA at 690 V. At 415 V — the common European distribution voltage — 242 kA covers virtually any industrial fault level short of a dedicated high-fault substation. The steep drop to 3.7 kA at 690 V tells you this breaker is sized for 400 V-class networks, not 690 V drives or mining gear. For a 690 V application you'd step up to a higher-voltage SENTRON frame.
The 3-pole block occupies roughly the same panel space as a 3VA1 100 A frame.
Maximum power loss is 12.5 W at rated current.
