That 1200 A rating is the maximum continuous current the frame can carry — it's not derated for ambient temperature up to 70 °C, where it still holds 100 A continuous.
Breaking capacity that follows the voltage
This MCCB's interrupting rating drops as system voltage rises — 330 kA at 240 V, 242 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 187 kA at 500 V, and 3.7 kA at 690 V. For most 400 V-class distribution, 242 kA gives generous headroom over typical utility transformer fault levels.
The case measures 140 mm wide, 181 mm high, and 86 mm deep — it's a standard 4-pole MCCB footprint for a 1200 A frame. Power dissipation maxes at 10 W, so panel heating is minimal.
