MCCB for motor protection — 100 A, 3-pole, 330 kA breaking
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2110-7MN32-0BC0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated 100 A continuously from 40 °C up to 70 °C — no derating needed across typical panel ambient. Breaking capacity hits 330 kA at 240 V AC, 242 kA at 415 V / 440 V, 187 kA at 500 V, and 3.7 kA at 690 V. That 330 kA figure at 240 V means it can interrupt a fault upstream of the main transformer without cascading — critical for high-fault utility feeds or generator paralleling. Designed for motor protection with integrated phase failure detection and an undervoltage release (UVR) as standard. No communication module, no ground-fault monitoring — this is a straight thermal-magnetic protector for a motor branch circuit.
Panel fit — dimensions, auxiliaries, wiring
Dimensions: 86 mm depth, 105 mm width, 181 mm height. Mounts on a standard DIN rail or panel-mount plate. Ships with 2 HQ auxiliary switches (form C) and an undervoltage release (UVR) pre-installed — no add-on modules needed for loss-of-voltage trip. No trip indicator, no voltage trigger. Spring-cage terminals accept 0.2–2.5 mm² solid or ferruled stranded; strip length 8 mm. Power loss at full load is 12.5 W maximum — plan ventilation if ganged in a sealed enclosure.
