SENTRON 3VA2110-7MN36-0AB0 — 100 A Motor Protection MCCB
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2110-7MN36-0AB0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 100 A continuous current across the full ambient range of 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to 70 °C. Designed specifically for motor protection, it includes phase failure detection and comes with two built-in auxiliary switches (HP type). The interrupting capacity reaches 330 kA at 240 V, 242 kA at 415 V, and still holds 187 kA at 500 V, dropping to 3.7 kA at 690 V. This is a current-lifecycle part, actively specified into new panels and available to order against an RFQ.
That simplifies panel sizing in warm enclosures or near motor starters. At 690 V the capacity drops to 3.7 kA — still adequate for most 690 V motor circuits, but verify your available fault current if feeding a large drive bank. The motor protection design means the trip curve is shaped for overload protection of induction motors — inrush during start won't nuisance-trip, but sustained overloads above the 100 A continuous rating will clear. No undervoltage release or shunt trip is included on this variant.
The supplied basic switch (order code 3VA21107MN360AA0) is the internal switching mechanism; the two HP auxiliary switches are factory-fitted and wired to the terminal block for remote status indication. No communication function is included on this variant, so it's a standalone thermal-magnetic protector.
