Motor protection MCCB with 100 A frame and 330 kA interrupting rating
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2110-7MN36-0BL0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) in the motor protection version, carrying a rated continuous current Iu of 100 A and a maximum breaking capacity of 330 kA at 240 V. This interrupting rating drops to 242 kA at 415 V and 440 V, then 187 kA at 500 V, and 52.5 kA at 690 V — so the available fault current at your service voltage determines whether this frame is adequate. The ETU350M overcurrent release handles the protection curve, and the unit includes an undervoltage release and phase failure detection. Current-carrying capacity is temperature-sensitive: the breaker is rated for 100 A at ambient temperatures up to 50 °C, then derates to 96 A at 55 °C, 94 A at 60 °C, 92 A at 65 °C, and 90 A at 70 °C. If your panel ambient runs above 50 °C, the 100 A frame is effectively a 90–96 A device. Maximum power loss is 75 W, which factors into enclosure thermal management.
Mounting dimensions and auxiliary contact configuration
The MCCB measures 105 mm wide, 181 mm high, and 86 mm deep — a standard SENTRON 3VA frame footprint that drops into existing panel cutouts and busbar arrangements for the series. The auxiliary contact block is configured with 2 auxiliary switches, 1 trip alarm switch, and 1 electrical alarm switch (HQ version), providing status feedback for PLC or SCADA inputs.
