SENTRON 3VA2 starter-protection MCCB with undervoltage release
Breaking capacity is the headline selection parameter on this MCCB. At 240 V the unit interrupts 330 kA — a figure that covers virtually any utility fault level in North American distribution. At 415 V and 440 V it holds 242 kA, and at 500 V it still interrupts 187 kA. The steep drop to 3.7 kA at 690 V is expected for a 100 A frame; this is not a 690 V main breaker. For a panel engineer building a selective coordination study, the 242 kA at 415 V gives generous headroom above typical 50–65 kA service-entrance ratings, meaning the 3VA2 can serve as a main or feeder breaker without cascading upstream.
Integrated undervoltage release
The UVR is factory-fitted, not a field-add-on, so the order code locks the protection scheme at BOM creation. No communication module, phase-failure detection, or ground-fault monitoring is included on this build.
