The ETU340 electronic trip unit gives adjustable long-time, short-time, and instantaneous protection curves, which means you can coordinate selectively with downstream breakers rather than relying on a fixed thermal curve. Breaking capacity is the headline number for fault duty: 440 kA at 240 V, 330 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 220 kA at 500 V, and 52.5 kA at 690 V. The 3-pole configuration and line protection design mean this breaker is intended for protecting feeders or branch circuits, not motor loads.
The ETU340 trip unit is a common variant in the 3VA2 platform, so replacement units and spare parts (auxiliary contacts, shunt trips, undervoltage releases) are widely stocked. The breaker carries no undervoltage release and no communication function from the factory — those are field-addable accessories if needed later.
Integration and compliance notes
Dimensions are 181 mm height, 105 mm width, 86 mm depth. The 7.7 W maximum power loss is the heat dissipated at rated current.
