What this MCCB delivers
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2116-5JQ32-0KH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 160 A continuous at 40 °C, with a full-scale value of 160 A. It carries 187 kA interrupting capacity at 240 V, stepping down to 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 3.7 kA at 690 V — so it handles high-fault utility feeds at lower voltages while still breaking moderate faults at 690 V. The breaker is designed for line protection and includes a shunt trip (STL) plus two auxiliary switches and one trip alarm switch (HQ). It also has a trip indicator and a voltage trigger, making it suitable for remote signaling and undervoltage supervision in a control panel.
Panel fit and integration
Dimensions are 105 mm wide, 181 mm high, and 86 mm deep — a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint that fits most DIN-rail or screw-mount panel layouts. The 86 mm depth leaves room for wiring gutters in a 200 mm deep enclosure. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to 70 °C, with storage from -40 °C to 80 °C. Power loss at full load is 25.5 W maximum — a factor for thermal management in a sealed cabinet.
