SENTRON 3VA2 MCCB with ETU550 trip unit
The Siemens 3VA2125-6JP36-0AA0 is a SENTRON 3VA2 series molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 25 A continuous current on a 3-pole frame. It carries the ETU550 electronic trip unit, which gives you adjustable overload and short-circuit protection curves — not a fixed thermal-magnetic response. That matters when coordinating downstream feeders or meeting selective-coordination targets in a distribution panel. Breaking capacity runs 242 kA at 240 V AC and stays at 187 kA through 415–440 V, then drops to 121 kA at 500 V and 3.7 kA at 690 V. At 25 A frame size, the 240 V figure is extreme overkill for most line-side faults — the real value is the 187 kA at 415 V, which covers high-fault utility feeds common in industrial switchgear. Insulation voltage is rated 800 V, so the breaker can sit on a 690 V bus without derating the insulation system. The 3VA2 platform includes a communication function, which on this variant means the ETU550 can interface with a communication module for power monitoring and remote trip indication — useful for a BOM line that needs energy data or fault logging without a separate metering block.
Panel fit and mounting
Dimensions are 105 mm wide, 181 mm high, 86 mm deep — a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint for the 3VA2 frame. Front IP40 protection means it's fine inside a closed panel but not for washdown areas. The breaker mounts via screw terminals to a backplate or DIN rail adapter; the 3VA2 family shares a common mounting pattern across the current range, so swapping a 25 A unit for a higher-rated sibling in the same frame doesn't require re-drilling the panel.
