What this MCCB carries and where it fits
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2125-7HM32-0BK0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for a continuous current Iu of 25 A across the full operating temperature range from 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to the 70 °C ceiling. That flat thermal curve simplifies panel sizing: the same 25 A frame handles a warm cabinet without a bump in conductor or enclosure rating. Breaking capacity runs 330 kA at 240 V, 242 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 187 kA at 500 V, and 3.8 kA at 690 V. At the common 415 V industrial level, 242 kA covers high-fault buswork downstream of a large transformer without needing a current-limiting upstream device. The ETU330 electronic trip unit provides adjustable long-time pickup (Ir) from 0.5 A to 25 A and adjustable long-time delay (tr) from 0.5 s to 17 s, letting you shape the trip curve to the load — motor start, feeder, or capacitor bank — without swapping the breaker.
Panel fit and mounting
Dimensions are 105 mm wide, 181 mm high, 86 mm deep — a standard MCCB footprint that fits a 3-pole SENTRON 3VA mounting base. The IP40 front face suits enclosed panel installation; no washdown rating, so keep it behind a gland plate or cabinet door. Optional motor drive available as a product extension for remote trip or reclose — useful in unmanned substations or PLC-controlled distribution.
