The Siemens 3VA2140-5MP36-0AA0 is a 3-pole IEC molded case circuit breaker from the 3VA family, built on a 160 A frame and fitted with an ETU550M electronic trip unit for motor protection. The LSI protection profile — long-time (Ir), short-time (Isd), and instantaneous (Ii) — is adjustable: overload protection Ir spans 16…40 A, short-circuit protection Isd runs 1.2…15× In, and Ii covers 3…15× In. That means you can dial the trip curve to match a specific motor's locked-rotor and starting profile without swapping the breaker. Breaking capacity sits at Icu=55 kA @ 415 V (class M), which is enough for most industrial distribution panels fed by a medium-voltage transformer in the 1–2 MVA range.
