What this MCCB carries
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2163-5HN32-0BA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 63 A continuous current across the full ambient range from 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to that ceiling. Interrupting capacity hits 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415/440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 3.7 kA at 690 V, so it handles high-fault service-entrance and distribution positions where upstream coordination demands a stiff break. An integrated undervoltage release (UVR) is fitted as standard, which means the breaker trips on loss of control voltage — a common requirement for emergency-stop circuits or mains-failure protection in conveyor and pump panels.
Fit and footprint
Dimensions are 105 mm wide × 181 mm high × 86 mm deep. That 86 mm depth is the body only — account for the UVR module and outgoing cable bend radius when laying out the enclosure. Mounts on a standard DIN rail or direct-panel screw pattern common to SENTRON 3VA frames. The 3-pole block occupies one 105 mm module width; adjacent breakers or accessories (shunt trip, auxiliary contacts) clip onto the same rail without extra spacing.
