What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3VA2163-5JP32-0CA0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection in distribution panels and motor control centers. It carries a continuous current of 63 A across the full ambient range from 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to that ceiling, which simplifies panel sizing in hot enclosures. The 3-pole design breaks fault currents up to 121 kA at 415 V and 187 kA at 240 V, so it handles high available fault current on the secondary side of a large transformer without cascading upstream. At 690 V the capacity drops to 3.7 kA — that's the limit for a 690 V line; verify the SCCR of the panel before specifying it on a 690 V system.
Integration and mounting
Dimensions are 105 mm wide, 181 mm tall, and 86 mm deep. The 105 mm width is standard for a 3-pole MCCB in the SENTRON 3VA frame — it fits existing panel cutouts and busbar layouts designed for that footprint. The unit includes an undervoltage release (UVR) and supports communication functions, so it can be wired into a remote trip or monitoring scheme.
