What it is and what it does
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2163-5JQ32-0CC0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection, designed to sit in a distribution panel or motor control center. It carries a full-scale current of 63 A and holds that rating flat from 40 °C through 70 °C — no derating needed across the typical panel ambient range. Breaking capacity runs 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415/440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 3.7 kA at 690 V, so it handles high-fault utility feeds and downstream coordination without cascading. The unit includes an undervoltage release (UVR) and two auxiliary switches (HQ type), plus a communication function for remote status or trip indication.
Panel fit and integration
The breaker measures 105 mm wide, 181 mm high, and 86 mm deep — a standard SENTRON 3VA footprint that drops into existing DIN-rail or panel-mount cutouts without reworking the gland plate. Maximum power loss is 6.5 W, so ventilation planning is straightforward even in a densely packed enclosure. The undervoltage release (UVR) and auxiliary switches (2 HQ) are factory-fitted; no field wiring of add-on modules needed.
