63 A MCCB with flat thermal derating to 70 °C
The Siemens 3VA2163-5JQ32-0JL0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker rated 63 A full-scale with a 16 A initial value, 3-pole, designed for line protection. Its interrupting capacity hits 121 kA at 415 V and 187 kA at 240 V, dropping to 3.7 kA at 690 V — so on a 400 V distribution panel it clears high fault currents without cascading upstream. The thermal rating holds flat at 63 A from 40 °C all the way to 70 °C, meaning no derating headache in a warm enclosure; that's unusual for an MCCB this compact.
Built-in communication and auxiliary switch complement
This breaker ships with a communication function onboard, so it can report status to a BMS or PLC without an add-on module. The auxiliary switch configuration is 2 auxiliary switches + 1 trip alarm switch + 1 electrical alarm switch HQ, giving you five signal paths for remote indication of position, trip, and alarm. A shunt trip release (STL) is included for remote or emergency tripping. That's a lot of signaling packed into the standard 105 mm wide footprint — saves panel space versus adding external relay blocks.
Physical fit and environmental limits
Dimensions are 86 mm deep, 105 mm wide, 181 mm tall — standard SENTRON 3VA footprint for a 3-pole frame. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C. That covers most indoor panel environments, including unheated warehouses.
