What this MCCB carries
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2163-5KP32-0CL0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 63 A continuous current, with an ETU850 electronic trip unit configured for line protection. Its interrupting capacity hits 187 kA at 240 V and 121 kA at 415 V — enough to handle high-fault utility feeds or transformer secondaries without cascading upstream. The 63 A rating holds flat from 40 °C to 50 °C, then derates gradually to 53.55 A at 70 °C, so in a warm panel you still get full current up to 50 °C.
Trip unit and auxiliaries
The ETU850 release gives you adjustable long-time, short-time, instantaneous, and ground-fault protection curves — common for selective coordination in distribution panels. The breaker ships with an undervoltage release (UVR) fitted, plus a full auxiliary contact set: two auxiliary switches, one trip-alarm switch, and one electrical alarm switch HQ. That means you get status feedback and UVR protection without adding separate modules.
Panel fit and environment
Dimensions are 105 mm wide, 181 mm high, 86 mm deep — standard 3-pole MCCB footprint for a 63 A frame. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to 70 °C, storage from -40 °C to 80 °C. Maximum power loss is 6.5 W, so heat dissipation inside the enclosure is manageable. The breaker includes a trip indicator and supports communication functions for remote monitoring.
