What this MCCB delivers
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2163-6HL32-0CA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 63 A continuous current at 40 °C, with a breaking capacity of 242 kA at 240 V — enough to handle high-fault utility feeds or transformer secondaries without cascading upstream.
How the ratings drive fit
The 63 A rating holds flat from 40 °C to 50 °C, then derates linearly to 53.55 A at 70 °C. That means in a warm panel (say 55 °C ambient) you still get 60.6 A — no need to oversize for typical industrial enclosures. Breaking capacity drops sharply above 500 V: 121 kA at 500 V, 5 kA at 690 V. On a 690 V system this breaker is only good for low-fault locations; for high-rupture 690 V duty, a higher-rated frame is the right call.
Mounts on DIN rail or fixed baseplate. The 105 mm width is three-pole standard for SENTRON 3VA2 frames; leave 10 mm air gap above and below for cooling. No auxiliary contacts or communication module on this variant — the UVR is the only internal accessory. Acceptable for unheated warehouses or outdoor cabinets in temperate climates.
