What this MCCB delivers for your panel
The Siemens 3VA2163-6HN32-0AC0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker rated for 63 A continuous current across the full 40 °C to 70 °C ambient range — no derating needed up to that thermal ceiling. Its 242 kA interrupting capacity at 240 V gives you serious fault-current headroom for high-available-fault installations like transformer secondaries or large motor control centers. At 415 V and 440 V it still clears 187 kA, dropping to 121 kA at 500 V and 3.7 kA at 690 V. That 690 V figure is the practical limit for this pole count; above that you step to a higher-voltage frame. Three-pole construction, designed for line protection — meaning it's the main feeder breaker or a downstream distribution breaker, not a motor-protective device. No undervoltage release, no ground-fault monitoring, no communication module on this variant. It ships with two auxiliary switches (HQ type) for status feedback to a PLC or annunciator panel.
Panel fit and physical integration
Footprint is 105 mm wide, 181 mm tall, 86 mm deep — standard SENTRON 3VA2 frame size. Mounts on a DIN rail or direct-panel with the appropriate adapter. The 86 mm depth (3.39 in) is shallow enough for 200 mm deep enclosures; verify gland-plate clearance for incoming cables if back-panel access is tight.
