What this MCCB carries — and why the ratings matter
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2163-6HN32-0AF0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 63 A continuous current across the full 40 °C to 70 °C ambient range — no derating needed up to 70 °C. That makes it a straight drop-in for panels running warm, without recalculating thermal headroom. Breaking capacity is the headline: 242 kA at 240 V, 187 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 121 kA at 500 V, and 3.7 kA at 690 V. For a 63 A frame, those numbers mean you can place this breaker at the main distribution point with high fault current without worrying about cascading — it clears a 242 kA fault at 240 V without upstream help.
Built-in auxiliary switching
Comes factory-fitted with 1 auxiliary switch plus 1 trip alarm switch (HQ configuration). That gives you both a remote status contact and a separate alarm on trip — useful for feeding a PLC input or a panel light without an extra interposing relay.
