What this MCCB delivers — and what it means for your panel
The 3VA2163-6HN36-0AA0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 63 A continuous current across the full operating temperature range — from -25 °C to 70 °C, the thermal rating holds flat at 63 A without derating, so you don't need to oversize the frame for a warm cabinet. Interrupting capacity is 242 kA at 240 V AC, dropping to 187 kA at 415/440 V, 121 kA at 500 V, and 3.7 kA at 690 V — a high-break frame that handles utility-grade fault levels without needing a current-limiting upstream device for most low-voltage distributions. The electronic trip unit is an ETU350 — a basic adjustable thermal-magnetic replacement with fixed pickup and no communication or ground-fault monitoring (no voltage trigger, no undervoltage release). Line protection design means it's set for cable/feeder protection out of the box, not motor or generator duty.
Mounting and integration — footprint and wiring
Three-pole frame, 105 mm wide, 181 mm tall, 86 mm deep — fits standard MCCB panel cutouts and bus-bar layouts for 63 A frames. Front IP40 protects against tool drops and finger contact; the enclosure is otherwise open for heat dissipation. No auxiliary contacts, shunt trip, or communication module on this variant — if you need remote trip indication or undervoltage release, you'll need a different order code in the 3VA2 family.
