Trip unit and adjustability
The ETU850 electronic trip unit offers adjustable overload pickup from 95 A up to 756 A — that's a wide range, so this breaker can be set to protect anything from a 100 A feeder to a 700 A main, despite the 63 A frame. The minimum setting of 95 A means you cannot set it below that, even if the connected load is smaller; the frame size is the floor. This version includes a communication function and an 'other measurement function' — the ETU850 can report load current and trip events over the communication bus, which is useful for energy monitoring or remote troubleshooting without climbing to the panel. No ground-fault monitoring is built in, and there is no undervoltage release or trip indicator on this variant. Max power loss is 4 W, which is low for a 63 A frame with an electronic trip unit — keeps heat out of the enclosure and simplifies thermal calculations in a packed panel.
Operating range of -25 °C to 70 °C suits most indoor industrial environments without special heating or cooling.
