Siemens 3VA2163-8HN46-0AA0 — 4-pole MCCB with ETU350, 63 A, 440 kA
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2163-8HN46-0AA0 is a 4-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection, carrying a continuous current Iu of 63 A across its full ambient temperature range from 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to that ceiling. The electronic trip unit is an ETU350, giving you adjustable long-time, short-time, and instantaneous protection curves without swapping trip packs. This is a current-production part, not a phase-out line.
At 240 V the 440 kA rating is effectively unlimited for most downstream gear — you can coordinate this breaker with branch MCCBs or MCBs without worrying about cascading failure. At 415 V the 330 kA still covers the highest fault levels found in industrial switchboards. The ETU350's adjustable I²t on short-time delay lets you set intentional delay for full selectivity with downstream breakers, which is the main reason you spec an electronic trip over a thermal-magnetic on a main or feeder.
That 86 mm depth is the key dimension for enclosure selection — it fits standard 200 mm deep distribution boards with room for rear cabling. The 4-pole format with adjustable N-conductor protection (OFF or 100%) lets you configure it for 3-phase + neutral or 3-phase without neutral monitoring.
