63 A MCCB with ETU860 — no derating across the operating band
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2163-8KQ42-0AA0 is a 4-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 63 A continuous current, and it holds that rating flat from 40 °C all the way up to 70 °C — no derating curve to calculate for warm panel environments. Breaking capacity hits 440 kA at 240 V, 330 kA at 415 V, 220 kA at 500 V, and still 53 kA at 690 V — meaning this breaker can sit on the main feeder of a high-fault industrial distribution board without cascading upstream. The ETU860 electronic trip unit gives adjustable N-conductor protection (OFF, 40 % to 160 % of phase rating) and configurable short-time delay tr from 0.5 s to 25 s, so it coordinates selectively with downstream breakers on a motor control center or lighting panel.
Communication function is built in — the ETU860 supports Modbus RTU via the optional COM module for power monitoring and remote trip indication.
