The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2216-5HL32-0BC0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 160 A continuous current (Iu) at 40 °C, with an ETU320 electronic trip unit. The interrupting ratings are serious: 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 79 kA at 500 V, and still 5.1 kA at 690 V. The 160 A frame carries full current without derating up to 50 °C; above that it steps down to 154 A at 55 °C, 148 A at 60 °C, 142 A at 65 °C, and 136 A at 70 °C.
Trip unit and auxiliary hardware
The ETU320 is a basic electronic trip unit — line protection only, no ground-fault monitoring, no communication, no voltage trigger. It does its job: adjustable overload and short-circuit protection for the feeder. No phase failure detection either, so if you need that, you're looking at a different trip unit or an external relay. The UVR is the 3VA9608-0BB11; the basic switch assembly is 3VA2216-5HL32-0AA0. That means it drops the breaker on loss of control voltage — standard for safety circuits or emergency-stop chains where you want the load disconnected when the control power dies. Maximum power loss is 22.2 W.
That's a standard 3-pole MCCB frame size — it'll drop into a SENTRON mounting plate or a DIN-rail adapter without surprises.
