The interrupting capacity hits 330 kA at 240 V, 242 kA at 415/440 V, and 187 kA at 500 V; at 690 V it drops to 4.5 kA, so keep that in mind if you're feeding a 690 V bus.
Panel fit and footprint
Dimensions are 105 mm wide, 181 mm tall, 86 mm deep — a standard SENTRON 3VA2 frame that drops into the same DIN-rail or screw-mount footprint as other 160 A MCCBs in the series. The 86 mm depth leaves room behind the gland plate for wiring without jamming the backplane.
Trip curve and protection logic
Trip time is adjustable between 4 s and 17 s, which gives you a window to coordinate with downstream motor starters or upstream feeders. A trip indicator and voltage trigger are standard; there's no undervoltage release on this variant.
The basic switch assembly is order code 3VA2216-7MN32-0AA0. No ground-fault monitoring module is fitted.
Sourcing posture
This is a current-production Siemens MCCB.
