Dimensions, mounting, and integration
The breaker measures 105 mm wide, 181 mm high, and 86 mm deep — a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint that fits most DIN-rail or panel-mount enclosures. The 105 mm width is the same as other 3VA2 3-pole frames, so a panel laid out for a 3VA2116-5JP32-0AE0 accepts this unit without re-drilling or re-bussing. Depth at 86 mm leaves room for rear-connected busbars or cable lugs in a shallow backpan. It ships with 4 auxiliary switches (HQ configuration) for status feedback to a PLC or annunciator. No undervoltage release, no shunt trip, no ground-fault monitoring — those are add-on options if your application needs them. The base variant is the 3VA2220-7MS32-0AA0; the -0AE0 adds the auxiliary switch block.
What the ratings mean for your panel
The 200 A continuous rating holds from 40 °C to 70 °C ambient — no derating curve to calculate for typical industrial enclosures. That's unusual; many MCCBs start derating above 40 °C. The adjustable trip range (600–3000 A) lets you set the magnetic pickup to match the motor's locked-rotor current without swapping trip units. Power loss is 46 W maximum — factor that into enclosure ventilation if you're packing multiple breakers in a sealed cabinet. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to 70 °C, storage from -40 °C to 80 °C. That covers unheated warehouses and outdoor enclosures in most climates. No communication function, no phase failure detection — this is a straight electromechanical breaker, not a smart metering device.
