What this MCCB delivers
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2225-5HL42-0AJ0 is a 4-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 250 A continuous current at 40 °C, with a maximum interrupting capacity of 187 kA at 240 V. Per the datasheet, the thermal derating curve holds 250 A flat through 50 °C, then drops to 241 A at 55 °C and 213 A at 70 °C — so at typical 40 °C panel ambient you get the full 250 A without headroom loss. The interrupting rating steps down across higher voltages: 121 kA at 415 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 4.5 kA at 690 V. This is line-protection design (not motor-protection), with no undervoltage release and no ground-fault monitoring version fitted. The auxiliary switch configuration is 2 auxiliary switches plus 1 trip alarm switch HP.
Panel fit and mounting
Dimensions are 181 mm height, 140 mm width, 86 mm depth. The 86 mm depth is the dimension that governs gland-plate clearance on a standard 200 mm deep enclosure — it leaves roughly 114 mm behind the door for wiring and lug access. Width of 140 mm is the 4-pole footprint; verify the existing bus-bar or cable set accommodates four poles before committing the BOM line.
