What this MCCB delivers
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2225-5HN32-0AC0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 250 A continuous current, built around the ETU350 electronic trip unit. It's configured for line protection — no undervoltage release, no voltage trigger, no communication module — just a straightforward thermal-magnetic (electronic) overcurrent trip with 2 HQ auxiliary switches built in. Breaking capacity runs 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 79 kA at 500 V, and 5.1 kA at 690 V, so it handles high-fault industrial distribution panels without cascading upstream.
Thermal derating and panel fit
At 40 °C, 45 °C, and 50 °C the breaker holds its full 250 A rating without derating. At 55 °C it's 241 A, at 60 °C it's 232 A, at 65 °C it's 222 A, and at 70 °C it's 213 A. That means in a warm enclosure — say a non-ventilated panel near process heat — you still get over 200 A continuous without nuisance tripping. The IP40 front protection keeps dust and small tools out of the mechanism; the body dimensions (181 mm height, 105 mm width, 86 mm depth) fit standard SENTRON 3VA panel cutouts and busbar systems.
